Monstrous big cats are maiming the denizens of the deep jungle. Ratfolk survivors have found their ancient cave home and have hired you to help them put an end to this terror for good. Battle through cat cultists and their saber shark synth tigers (SSSTs) to stop the murder, mutilation and the feline goddess Meowmodon from entering your realm.
Dinosaurs, aliens & elder gods! We talk with game designer and artist Diogo Nogueira about his new game Primal Quest- Essentials, a streamlined NeOSR system of weird stone and sorcery adventures, and the Primal World of Thaia, a zine that will support the game’s setting and provide rules to play with both Old-School Essentials and Primal Quest.
He’s the creator of Old Skull Publishing, author of the Gold Ennie Award adventure of 2021, Halls of the Blood King, and games such as Solar Blades & Cosmic Spells, Lost in the Fantasy World, and The Dead Are Coming.
We also talked about his art and drawing analog vs. using a tablet, our favorite dinosaurs, heavy metal horror and sci-fi and dungeon-synth / dino-synth.

This episode sponsored by Exalted Funeral, and we talk about their new release – Kalunga Plateau issue 2 by Gustavo Tertoleone of Pitch Black Lair.
Hidden in the depths of the most secluded jungle is a plateau dominated by monstrous beasts and primal tribes. This place holds uncountable amounts of gems, gold and silver within long forgotten caverns, protected by reptilian monsters, humanoid beings and powerful shamans. Are you brave enough to explore the Kalunga Plateau?
These products are unofficial content for Old School Essentials, but is also compatible with most OSR games.
Issue #1 is a toolkit containing a setting, rules for character creation, a list of new spells, new creatures and many tables with content to play at the Kalunga Plateau; an unknown place hidden in your campaign setting ready to be explored.
Issue #2 offers expanded content containing a lot of details about several tribes from the Plateau, many information on the creeds, spirituality and religions from the tribes, and details about the 4 great kingdoms in the Plateau.
